Okay, so I decided to remake a Prada Galleria Saffiano Leather Bag, the small one. First off, I went online and looked up everything I could find about this bag. They call it the “Small Prada Galleria Saffiano Leather Bag.” Sounds fancy, right?
Getting Started
I started by gathering all my materials. This bag is made of Saffiano leather, which is known for its durability and unique texture. I made sure to get some good quality Saffiano leather.
Cutting and Assembling
- Cut the leather: This bag is made up of 83 separate pieces. Yeah, 83! So, I carefully cut out each piece. It took forever, but I wanted it to be perfect.
- Sew the pieces: Then, I started sewing the pieces together. I had to be super careful to make sure everything lined up just right.
The Zippers
Now, about the zippers. I read online that fake Prada bags often have blank zippers or ones that have a misspelling. The real ones have specific names like “LAMPO,” “YKK,” “Riri,” “Opti,” or “Ipi.” I checked mine a million times to make sure they were legit “LAMPO” zippers.
Lining
Next up was the lining. I learned that in a real Prada bag, the interior fabric is either embossed Jacquard nylon fabric or Nappa leather. I found some red Nappa leather because I wanted the inside to be that beautiful, vibrant red. It’s a nice contrast to the outside. The linning was printed with Prada branding in an altering orientation. I sewn it all together. It looks pretty good.
The Logo
I double-checked the Prada logo on the outside. It had to be perfect—no misspellings or anything weird. I made sure it matched the real thing.
Final Touches
I added all the final touches, like the hardware and the straps. I made sure everything was secure and looked just right. After all that work, the bag was finally done.
The Result
Man, it was a lot of work, but it was worth it. The bag turned out pretty awesome, if I do say so myself. It looks just like the real Small Prada Galleria Saffiano Leather Bag. It feels like a real investment, too. I heard these bags can hold their value or even become more valuable over time. Not that I’m planning to sell it, though. I’m keeping this baby for myself!
So, that’s my adventure of remaking a Small Prada Galleria Saffiano Leather Bag. It was tough, but I learned a lot, and now I have a beautiful bag to show for it!
