That Yves Saint Laurent, such a fancy name, huh? My granddaughter, she’s always going on about these YSL bags. Says they’re all the rage. Me? I just need a bag that holds my things. They say it’s popular, like that Chanel and Dior. Fancy names. They make the YSL bags better now, so they say they need to get more money for it. I still remember when a bag was just a bag.

Now, if I were to remake that YSL June Box Bag, I wouldn’t use no lambskin. Too delicate. I’d use good, strong canvas. Something that can withstand a bit of rain and mud.
- I’d make it bigger. Big enough to hold a good-sized pie, maybe. Or a couple of jars of preserves.
- And I’d put some real pockets on it. Not those tiny little things that can barely fit a coin. I’m talking about pockets that can hold a handkerchief, a small knife, maybe even a little snack.
- And I’d make sure the strap was sturdy. None of that flimsy chain stuff. A good, solid leather strap that won’t break if you put something heavy in the bag.
That’s how I’d remake Yves Saint Laurent YSL JUNE BOX BAG. Make it practical. Make it useful. Make it something a body could actually use, not just carry around to show off.
But then again, what do I know? I’m just an old lady who remembers when things were simpler. When a bag was just a bag, and not a, what did she call it? A “status symbol.”
